Because he say's thing's people want to hear. He make's them feel good and have a great time.
He say's nothing about the Bible, though he claims he does.
Ok, maybe 2 or 3 verse's of the Bible, then its back to raising money for His church.
That's why he is mainstream.

T.D. Jakes is a very charismatic speaker who fervently believes what he is saying.Strong combination when addrssing believers of a certain faith. I think that people are drawn to people who people are drawn to.He appears to be approachable & morally conscious on top of being knowledgeable .
