Don't rush it. They will come when the baby is ready to come. If you walk and keep physically active, it will make your labor go easier and quicker. Walking can induce labor. But don't ingest anything. It could be harmful to the baby.

LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE, I know you are tried and you are ready to have this baby but talk to you doctor or just wait, do not listen to other people tell you how they started there contraction or tell you to have sex or walk or use anything, because it will happen and if not you Doctor will make it happen and that's a better way because they can keep a eye on the baby why they are starting your contractions. What people don't tell you is that, some people that try to start there on contractions can start there babies heart rate to increase bad. That's why they have monitors on you when the induce your labor at the hospital. So be smart talk to your doctor. Good luck and may you have a health baby.

hey darl! I was in constant pain for 4weeks before i went into labour and was already 2cms. I tried walking a bit, castor oil in orange juice -about 4 tablespoons full., tried sex, tried more walking, cod liver oil but that was pretty bad. Then the doctor ended up sweeping the membranes away from my cervix a few days before i was due because i was in so much pain all the time.. the next day my waters broke and i was in hospital having my baby! I highly recommend you get your doctor to do that! Otherwise just keep on walking or go for a really long drive!
And that has been exactly a year ago today! My baby boy is 1 today, September 21st!

If the contractions do no longer end for over an hour (even upon getting as much as walk or eating water) and in the event that they are getting extra advantageous and closer jointly, you're interior the early stages of work. you're able to get to the well-being facility as quickly as your water breaks or while your contractions are under 5 minutes aside. it would desire to take hours-even an entire day in labor yet truthfully your toddler would be born this weekend. At 39 weeks, your ordinary practitioner is actual no longer administering something to end those contractions. Congratulations.

im sure you are tired of being pregnant but those last two weeks can be beneficial to your unborn child and i wouldnt recommend inducing your own contractions.

plus, giving such advice could be bad for some other people on here who are trying to have a homemade abortion like that other girl posted about.

I am 38 weeks also and when ever I walk for a bit his weight on the cervix gives me contractions. And if you have a breast pump, that will start it too.

Wait until it is time for baby. 40 weeks is a appx. date. Babies need their own time. There is so much developing. When it is time...you will know it. Be patient. Get some rest...you will need it.

Have sex!! Semen thins out your cervix, and can help kick start the contractions.
