i think on a fundamental level that all religions have bad points.

You should probably put this in the religious or political category to get better answers.
Islam is in my opinion a bad religion, but the acts of terrorism, facism and genocide by so called Islamic groups should not be attributed to flaws with the religion. But the way the religion started and was perpetuated was by war I believe, so it's not suprising that there are these nut cases out there.
The Koran does not promote terrorism. The problem is as with most problems with religions is the organization, not the sacred writings. Christians have done terrible things totally against the Bible in the name of religion. Now it's Islam's turn to be the bad guys, and boy are they really being bad guys.
The Clerics need to start teaching the Koran and stop teaching hatred against the Jews. They should look at Hitler as an example how how a religioius idealogy was taken to far and millions of Jews were killed as a result. Now the Islamic Fundamentalists are teaching hatred, and rasing kids to be terrorists, dreaming of the day when Israel is wiped off the map.

The religion Islam is not the property of the certain countries. It is a universal religion, that was finally completed by the Prophet Muhammad, it is the same religion that jesus christ laid the foundation for, and before jesus all the Prophets who were sent by the God almighty professed the same religion, which is now called Islam. Islam means, complete submission and peace. People from any part of the world can embrace Islam. It is absolutely, not a bad religion. People who are, mad at USA and Israel for their collaboration against Palestinians are resorting to suicide missions, resulting in a bad rap for Islam. Islam does not allow suicide missions in any way.

No! Is Christianity a bad religion? Hitler was raised in a Christian community. Just because people who claim to adhere to a religion do "bad" things does not make their religion bad.
A otherwise good general with a soldier who does war crimes,
who will be sentenced when caught. Who will go to jail? If an American citizen commits a crime is it George Bush's fault?
Religion for many in the middle east has become so politicized and
charged from religious leaders with a political agenda that the main purpose of religion -in this case Islam- is obscured. They don't show television programs with billions of Muslims praying 5 times a day working in their communities like you and I. Most,like you and I, put their pants on, like us, go off to work everyday and try to make a better life for their families and friends.
Socio-ecomnomic factors have created havoc in many Muslim communities renderingthem somewhat "fatalistic".

For the most part, Islam is a peaceful religion that practices a deeper commitment to their god, Allah, than most religions commonly practiced in the United States.
However, Islamic Extremists can be viewed as a bad part of a generally peaceful religion. They emphasize the importance of death rather than the western view that sees life as the more important of the pair.

A religion is only as bad as those who do bad in its name. I'm sure those who suffered in the Crusades would think that Christianity was a bad religion. I'm sure when the world saw Buddhist monks burning themselves alive in Vietnam, they were considered of a "bad religion." It's not God's fault that the people of earth choose to do horrible things in His name.

of course not it is the only religion, all other religions started out as Islam then thru ignorance or false intervention by non believers it morphed N 2 christainty, buddaism,hunduism,judaism,ect, then Allah perfected it thru Muhammad and its Islam again till the end of tyme, makes me want 2 jump back and kiss my self....

Arabs were crazy long before Muhammad. The tribal culture and it's honor system/killings that promotes suppression of woman and needless violence has been around sense Alexander the great in 350 BC.

No religion is bad. It is how other religions brand each other that they become bad or good. For example, in the never-ending war and atrocities between muslims and christians, they will always see the other as the bad religion primarily because of the difference in belief systems.
