My guy friend told a teacher that I think he's attractive and I do think so and we were in the classroom with him and he did this right in front of my face. I think the teacher thinks very low of me now because he is an older man. Well, I told my friend to stop lying so it wouldn't seem like I did but I know the teacher knows. Anywho, would it help for me to stop talking to him so he'd know that I am not some kind of perv or something.

when I was in school I had a huge crush on my social science teacher...and it did pass when a new student came to class

I do not think you would be considered a pervert for liking a teacher that is older than you. I have taught before and know that this is common. If the teacher is aware of your feelings it is important the teacher conduct himself/herself as a professional and not allow your feelings to progress. If it becomes necessary it is the responsibility of the professional to call you to the side with another professional as a witness and put an end to the situation. You need to act around this teacher as you would any other teacher. To be rude or avoid talking to the teacher should not be necessary. You obviously are old enough to have these feelings therefore you should be old enough to control them or at least begin now to learn how to control them before they get you into serious trouble.

Your teacher is probaby uncomfortable now, too, (I doubt he thinks low of you, in reality, he's probably flattered to death) but if he is a professional he will treat you like he always has. You need to just behave like you always have, too, so that the normal pace of life goes on.
Don't make a mountain out of a molehill! If you start to act differently, then he will know FOR SURE that what your friend said is true, which will make you feel worse. Just go on like always, and more than likely, it will all blow over without further incident.
Good luck, and hang in there!
P.S. It's too bad other people won't take your question seriously. I am sure that you aren't a perv or anything, it's quite normal to find a teacher attractive, even if he is an old codger (compared to a teenager, that is!)

Every teacher knows its possible for students to have "crushes" on them. Do not stop being nice to your teacher. Let your embarassment just roll off your shoulders.
Do not forget who and what he is, your teacher. He may or may not be flattered by the knowledge of your "crush", but its his job not to call attention to what he knows. Just enjoy your "eye candy" for that hour and many years from now you will tell your own daughter about the great looking teacher you had as a kid.
Most students one time or another have found a teacher to be drop dead gorgeous.

I think you should stop crushing and stay in a child place being that he is older than you.

this is creepy, the teacher is right to be offended, if he even looks at you the wrong way he could be in trouble, hopefully he has reported this to the principal to cover his own butt...look for guys your own age.
