They ARE defending Americans by defending those at Gitmo. Do you realize that under the patriot act it is entirely up to the president to declare who is or is not a terrorist? Oh yeah, I know, that couldn't happen here.....
And - where did you get that figure of 1400??

Defending terrorists must be a crap job because it would be like defending Adolf Hitler.
I doubt that these people share the sentiment of the monsters that they're trying to defend.

Who said all those guys their going to defend are actually Terrorists? A gentleman in Canada was falsely accused and was tortured for 10 months.

That's because most of the 'terrorists' they're defending at Guantanamo Bay are there simply because they're either islamic or arabs or even both with no shred of evidence proving that they're terrorists. They are also defending Americans, dummy.

The ACLU is a joke. They have a record of backing child molesters and murderers...really sad. When they take on cases like that, they get a court gag order so the public doesn't know. After all, they know better than we do.
