You have to highlight, copy and then paste the address that is showing in your address bar onto whatever document you want to show the link. I hope this makes since to you.

Steve put a period after the link he was trying to create. That's why it wouldn't show up as a link.

right click on it, chose Copy link location, and when you want to make a link, press [ctrl] and [v] at the same time.

you have to put in the Http://and the web address.
You must include http://.
example : try to click on this: comcast.com.
doesn't open the link, right?
Now try this: http://www.comcast.com.
