I don't fish. myself. I just go to the seafood shop and by some. But I'm glad you have referenced "war mongering" and ascribed the same to Republicans. Unfortunately, this is where history jumps up and bites the collective Democratic butt.

Let us reference military activity and terrorism as it appeared in the recent history of the 20th century.

We entered WWI under Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat (and no, Democrat is not a dirty word).

We entered WWII under Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat.

We made the undertaking of the Korean "police action" (a polite euphemism for war) under Harry S. Truman, a Democrat.

We made the tragic mistake of entering into the Viet Nam war under Kennedy and escalated by Lyndon Johnson (by the way, it was the Kennedy administration that began the sanctions against Cuba that are still in force today, even though this gets laid at the feet of the current administration), both Democrats.

The first "oil crisis", attack on the USS Pueblo and the abduction of US hostages by Iran occurred during the administration of Jimmy Carter, a Democrat. (An aside here: 48 hours after the "war monger" Ronald Reagan, a Republican, was sworn into office, these hostages were on their way home). Carry a big stick apparently works.

The war in Kosovo and the first WTC attack was during the administration of Bill Clinton, a Democrat.

I keep hearing from my fellow citizens of the Democratic persuasion that conservatives need to check the "facts." Nothing like the truth to put a damper on the day, hunh?
