The liberal media was not arount at that time to cause harm, to leak information, to stir up false accusations against American troops, to concoct "torture" stories, ect. If they would have been around America probably would have lost that war, as well as WW2.

The main reason for the American victory in the Revolutionary war was a man by the name of Robert Morris. The Colonists had run out of money and were actually losing the war when they asked Robert Morris to aid them financially. Robert Morris had previously been sightful enough to establish the "Bank of North America." Robert Morris did finance the latter stages of the war which brought on the victory. He was also one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Sadly enough, Morris was never paid back by the United States and died a pauper.

George Washington was defeated again and again when he fought by 'the rules'. Desertions as well as withdrawn support from the Continental Congress nearly ended the war in Britain's favor.
Once Washington gave up on the rules and employed snipers, slash and burn, sneak attacks in the middle of the night... his victories piled up.
The only solid rule in war is to defeat the enemy. Once Washington adopted this philosophy, he became a great General.

Well being that I hail from Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee...well I just gotta go with the Overmountain Boys great victory over Patrick Ferguson at the Battle of Kings Mountain.
This battle wiped out Ferguson's entire force and forced Cornwallis to abandon his plans for restoring British control over the Southern Colonies....and he went on up to good old Yorktown...and the rest is America!!!
Do I hear a shout out for the Overmountain Boys!!!
YEEHAW.

international politics, probability of conflict between britain and different ecu powers, american resilience, and the shortcoming of the british to weigh down the yankee combating spirit in a pitched conflict. Washington, funnily adequate, on no account gained a single conflict interior the conflict and yet is so extensively well-liked for his ability to inspire morale... and of direction, the defeat at Yorktown (a extensive tactical blunder by making use of Cornwallis) and renounce of british resistance in that component to the rustic.
