ok find the length of the base of a triangle when one side is 3cm shorter than the base and the other side is 4cm longer than the base the perimeter is greater than 16

x-3= 2nd side

perimeter of a triangle= side 1+ side 2+ side 3.

it is greater than, so it is >.

x+x+4+x-3>16
3x+1>16
3x>15
x>5

x+4>9
x-3>2

so the sides could be 6, 10, and 3.

it is just any number bigger than 5 when you replace.

because that is the only number which would fit.
