No, although have heard it before but only the untrue myths of menstruation sort of way. Actually I've heard people say that menstrual blood makes a good fertilizer, so really a woman's period would have the opposite effect on a plant.

While it isn't because of having her period, there are hormone imbalances, that my friend insists make her kill flowers just by touching them.

No, it is not possible.
Women who have their periods are not "cursed" as the expression goes.
Also, bears will not attack a woman if she has her period and goes camping.
There are other myths surrounding women's' menstruation. If it sounds weird--it is!
