I checked it again a couple of hours later and the postive line was there but was a real faint blue. Is it possible for me to be pregnant or do the test change over several hours? I have been experiencing abdominal pain, almost like a gas but it's been there for a few weeks and only hurts when I get up or stand up. No other symtoms as of yet. Can any one help?? Thanks

If you were pregnant, then you would be 2 weeks pregnant from the first day of you missed period. Most pregnancy tests are very true and the results should only be considered accurate within 30 minutes of having taken the test. Another possibility is your body may have not produced enough of the hormone that the test looks for thats only produced by a pregnant woman. With my second child I was late and sure I was pregnant but it took 3 tests and some time to confirm. If you showed a second "faint" line threre's a very good possibility you are pregnant since most positive tests only show a second faint line. This is considered normal. However you may not even be pregnant at all, and I would wait a few days and take another test.If you are still not sure, see you primary caregiver as soon as possible. I wish you the best.

I was knew I was pregnant with my second, I just knew it, but all the tests were negative, I was late on my period but still neg. so sometimes it just takes a while for the test to prove it. If you're really wondering go to the doctor and ask for a blood test to check. I had cramps throughout both my pregnancys, but if the tests say you are pregnant just have them check everything out and make sure its not an ectopic pregnancy. Good luck!

U could try to get a pregnancy test again and try a diffrent brand this time. As for ur pain, u should consult a doctor. Im not trying to scare u but my elder sis discovered that she's pregnant coz she's having some abdominal pains even her result were negative at first. Its wise to consult doctor coz even if u are not pregnant, it might be some symptoms of other illness etc. :)

This is why they say not to check the test after 10 minutes. Wait two more days and try another test. HCG levels double every 2 days so if you are pregnant you have a better chance of having a + result.

The light blue line (kind of like a shadow) is probably an evaporation line which is why you arent supposed to look at tests after the time frame. Ive looked at my own negative tests after the time frame but I know about evaporation lines.

i would have to say that it was negative. if you let the test sit for longer than its supposed to then a faint line will appear as it would if it was positive. if it was positive it would of showed within the first three minutes. i would give it a couple of days and take another one if your period hasn't started by then.
