meetha is a freaking idiot!!!!!
but she has a valid point. you shouldn't sacrafice your sleep for the needs of your baby. in fact, don't even get up to feed him. he'll be okay till your ready to deal with him again.

It looks like so far I may be the only one that agrees with Meetha. I have 2 daughters and I would put them to bed with a dry diaper and would pretty much change it in the a.m. Unless for some reason it was extremely wet. My babies usually would wake up for brief moments and then fall back to sleep. They would have been more uncomfortable with me tossling them around to get to their diaper...get their diaper off...put a new diaper on....put their jammies back on....by then they would be crying a fit and not want to go back to sleep. I usually use Pampers though and they are VERY absorbant...My girls have had maybe 2 diaper rashes each?? My oldest is 4 (not in diapers anymore of course) and my youngest 17 months. I would say that is excellent! Perhaps this is a situation that depends on your childs temperment...Just use your best mommy judgement...If you find that leaving a wet diaper overnight results in diaper rash...then you will know you MUST change it....If you have good absorbant diapers give it a try...If it works then you know that most nights it will be ok to wait till morning.

Yes, definitely. You can always do one better. When you change him before he goes to sleep for the night, coat his little behind with some vaseline or some type of diaper rash cream. When I had my son and it was time for him to eat at night, sometimes he would doze off and I would also. I always put some diaper rash cream on his little behind or some vaseline in case the dozing off turned into a good sleep. That way his little behind had a protective barrier from wetness. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Of course you should, It will cause a diaper rash or skin break-down if you don't.
When my babies woke in the middle of the night that was the first thing I did, then I fed them, checked their diaper and if needed changed them again before putting them back to bed.
That would be cruel to leave a baby all night with a wet or soiled diaper.

What i began out to do with my LO is at evening while she wakes if she hasn't been slumbering that long (say perhaps 2-3 hours) i'm going to offer her a binky, if she falls back to sleep then she for sure wasn't hungry yet while she wakes up back i'm going to make her a bottle. If she falls asleep on a similar time as I feed her i'm going to burp her then attempt giving her a sprint greater to eat, if she falls asleep after the 2nd time i do no longer burp her back I in simple terms placed her to sleep. I keep a nightlight beside the rocking chair unplugged so while i am going in there at evening I plug it in, that way I extremely have adequate easy to work out yet lots that it completely wakes my LO up thoroughly. i'm going to alter her diaper earlier I feed her yet as rapid as i will, this envolves me unswaddling her which i stumbled on has helped because of the fact it a minimum of wakes her up adequate to eat some. i take advantage of the huggies evening diapers so I in user-friendly terms exchange it as quickly as a evening (and it is not thoroughly mandatory because of the fact she's no longer super moist yet in simple terms so I preclude any diaper rashes). often i might feed her and alter her after the 1st time she awakened then the 2nd time i might in simple terms feed her and not making use of a diaper exchange and placed her good back to sleep. except she's already have been given a diaper rash i would not subject approximately changing her everytime she wakes.

Yes if:
-Your baby can easilly get right back to sleep
-Your baby cannot easilly get back to sleep but you don't mind losing some sleep time for him
-He got poopy diaper
-He got sensitive skin and will develop rash if you don't change him.
No if:
-You need to sleep
-He's not fussy
-He just has a wet diaper. It's okay to hold on til morning as long as he doesn't have sensitive skin.

I usually did, I think it is easier for baby to go back to sleep with a dry diaper and full tummy. As long as you don't turn on bright lights or play with him he should go right back to sleep.

If the diaper is wet it should be changed, no matter what time it is.

I did. When my daughter woke up, I would change her diaper then feed her. Might as well, they are awake.

depending on the time of year if it is cold and he is not wet through i would leave it but if you want him to sleep better and longer change him probably best to change before feeding as then he will relax to sleep straight away.
