The only thing you can reall do is... remove the carpet. You never can get all the smell out.
If you want to prove to your parents there is urine in the carpet, turn out the room lights and turn on a black light. The urine stains will glow in the black light.

It really won't matter what you put on it because it is in the padding of the carpet which is underneath. However, there is a product called URINEBGONE that was available only thru the tv but can be found in your local Wal-mart for about 20 bucks a bottle. Bleach also works but it depends upon what kind of carpet you have. Buy a gate and put it up barring the animal from your room. She will go in the house no matter how often she is let out because her scent is in the carpets which gives her the okie doke to go.
There is also a product available in pet stores called bitter apple which when sprayed upon things gives an upleasant flavor and odor to animals without harming them.
If you have wood floors or tile beneath the carpet I would recommend that you remove the carpet and the padding and give it a good mopping.

Sorry JayCee, I'd never use bleach on a carpet-good way to take out color possibly.
How about, assuming the stain was blotted up as much as possible, then pour club soda over the stained area and immediately blot again-it will get rid of the stain and help reduce the foul smell.
Another hint concerning mattress situation-is to dampen the area, then rub in some borax and when dry, vacuum up the powder-this hint is for the purpose of getting rid of any lingering odor so that might help on a carpet stain.
Finally- to lift out stains from carpeting and upholstery--sponge them with 1 cup of clear ammonia in 1/2 gallong warm water-let dry thoroughly and repeat if needed. marlyne B

You have to get a product that has enzymes in it. Go to home improvement store like leows or menards and not just a carpet cleaner that says for pet odors, it has to say for pet odors with enzymes on the label somewhere and the enzymes are living things that actually feed on and break down the urine with no harm to carpets. I struggled with this problem for a long time and finally found the enzyme product that I had heard about and shampooed my carpets with it and once you wet the carpet, the smell will be really bad, but as it dries and the enzymes start working it goes away. If you continue to keep that stubborn dog in the house you will have to clean carpets on a regular basis though. One bottle of it costs 11 dollars about .

I would put the dog outside or at least block off a room where there is no carpet and keep her in there.
There is a new product called URINE B GONE. It is supposed to work very well. You can probably find it online or on Ebay, maybe even Walmart near the As Seen On TV products.
Good luck

This will help if you cant afford much: Try carpet cleaning machine with just a tablespoon of bleach in the solution, and after carpet dries use the kitchen salt shaker and sprinkle salt on the carpet. every few days, salt can help deodorize the carpets, and animals don't care much for it on their paws :)

It doesn't sound like you have the power to get rid of the carpet - or make that decision.
Try blotting the area(s) with white vinegar.

You shouldn't be urinating on your carpets in the first place but.................steam clean them or hire a professional. Maybe sprinkle that carpet fresh stuff on them.
