There are different types of salsa-- some "Americanized" some traditional. I like Buena Vista Social Club for a Cuban beat. and Ry Cooder's work too.

I don't know if you would call this Salsa music, but I just did a dance recently in Salsa to "Whenever, Wherever", by Shakira. She does not let you down.
