Why can't women just be honest about their bodies and give the actual facts?

Women love to hide behind vague and generic adjectives like: voluptuous, curvy, thick, more-to-love, BBW, proportionate, and a billion others. Or they give us data that they KNOW most men will NOT be able to understand, like: "I'm a size 9"

I'm not a woman, but if I were, I would not hesitate to say, (for example) "I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and 163 pounds." (or meters / centimeters / kilograms in metric countries)

I am a 25 year old woman who is 5'4" and 130 lbs! How's that? No, seriously though, most women are insecure about their bodies because of society's ideals that make us all 115 lbs with DD breasts. Those of us that are a little heavier with B's sometimes feel like we don't quite fit the bill as attractive in today's world. It's awesome though that guys like you speak out about being honest and not worrying about what size you are!! Right on dude :)

First of all, all you ever see on these boards is women/girls posting their height and weight and secondly, that is even more vague than posting their clothes sizes! Weight doesn't tell you how much body fat or muscle they have, how big their frame is, or what their vital stats are.

Stop complaining, below I have listed the vital stats for some different sizes. Although these are the approximate standard sizes, most retailers use vanity sizing, so that a size 2 in some shops really has the measuremnets of a true size 4/6 and a size 6 in some shops has the meausrement of a true size 8/10, etc.

Size 0 = 31-23-33
Size 2 = 32-24-34
Size 4 = 33-25-35
Size 6 = 34-26-36
Size 8 = 35-27-37
Size 10 = 36-28-38
Size 12 = 38-30-40

Hope this makes things clearer! HTH : )

It is our society. Women feel bad about how they look.Very few are confident. We use the adjectives that you mentioned because they are acceptable words to use that do not make us sound undesirable. We were raised never to disclose our age or weight ( although I am personally proud of both) so no luck there, as for height, even we did give height and weight you would still have an inaccurate picture because you have no idea how a woman is built. For example I am 5'3" and 120lbs. That does not tell you if I have an athletic build or the" born to have babies"build. Really it is complicated to be honest when I possibly think I am fat and others think I am not. As with beauty it is all in the eye of the beholder.

It's easy for you to say that because you are not constantly being judged by your body. Most women know that most men instantly decide about a woman as soon as they see her. Most guys have no clue what a specific weight/ height ratio means, anyway. It's just as useless as telling you a size. They have a pre-conceived idea that any woman over 110 pounds is fat, regardless of her height or how she carries her weight. The more important question is WHY are you asking? Why can't you just look at a woman, accept her for what she is and who cares about a bunch of numbers? Your question proved WHY we are uncomfortable giving that kind of information.

Honesty-Okay I am 5'4" 152lbs. and I hate it. I am having such a hard time with it. I used to weigh 115lbs and felt so confident. But I have people tell me I look better now. And at one point, I was too skinny. But as I started gaining a little, I did look good. Now I am working out trying to get back to a more decent-125 to 130. So how is that for honesty. I have nothing to hide. Okay except some rolls which I hide very well with a t-shirt! lol

I agree with Elitist much, so how bout it? You think that maybe they hide behind such stuff because of society and the perception that all women should be model thin and beautiful. I can see where you would be angry about being misled but I can sympathize with these women. No, its not because I am big gal either. In fact i am what some would call petite! LOL!

first of all when a woman uses those "adjectives" they might not like there weight and they use words that they feel more comfy saying... it isn't an issue about being honest... its the same think that some men are not comfy with their weight.. and you cant say that all men are... men just go right around the question with another one... so if you are asking that kind of question then you need to ask if for men and women........

why do you care?
if you're attracted the to person why do you have to know how much they weigh or what size they wear? i know lots of guys wouldn't willingly hash out how big their penis actually is if they weren't confident about it...they would more than likely throw around vague and generic terms as well.
get over it.
maybe try meeting someone in real life instead of picking up chicks with no self esteem from the internet.

Why can't men?
More emphasis is put on women to have to perfect body where as for men its not as much
Perfect hair, make-up, weight, smile, personality, eye color, how big breasts, ***, blah blah
No one walks up to a guy and says what size are you?

You don't have a period!

Think of what your perfect woman would look like skin color, eyes, hair, body shape. Thats what most women want to be the symbol of perfection and they go as far as uneeded plastic surgery.

because a lot of women feel the pressure to be perfect. They are always being compared to airbrushed pictures and edited videos and TV. If a woman is a little on the heavier side, they feel better about describing themselves using flattering terms.
