no way not at all i love martial arts and mma i also recently got out of the Marines, all i can say is you still have alot of time to decide about that you know? just see where God leads you...if you do choose the marines make sure you have a chance at getting something you like as an mos and there is also a martial arts system in the marines that started a few years ago with different belt levels, also dont plan on getting any college classes done while you are on active duty its doable but very very hard....my advice to you is go to college and get your degree and then join the marines or any of the other armed forces and become a officer thats what i wish i would have done

As long as you are responsible with the power and weapons you wield and are not a danger to yourself or others, I don't see why not.

Maturity is subjective when it comes to age. I know some really mature 12 year olds and some really irresponsible 50 year olds. I know people who are younger than their counterparts that exhibit wisdom beyond their years.

It all depends on your background and how you manage yourself. As long as someone's actions doesn't put that individual or others in harm's way and doesn't trample on other people's way of life, a person should be able to do whatever they want regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Heck know, I'm a dude and I totally approve of it. I wish I had a girlfriend that knew martial arts that would be cool. Join the marines if thats what your heart tells you and not to just prove a bunch of people wrong. If your passion for a job is the Marines the join them.

You go Girl!!! Seriously. I have a good friend from high school who is in the Marines and loves it and is planning on making a career in the corps. As far as martial arts, I have taken it and think that every woman should. It gives you a confidence and empowerment just knowing that you can protect yourself if the time ever comes...good luck in life, URAH!

Go for it girl! I was in the Army. A lot of people say that females should stick with the Air Force or the Navy, but Go for it! Show them wrong. Stick it to em....................Just keep your word and determination. Actually join when you turn 18, don't just say it. You can get in before 18 if you can get your parents to sign a waiver. In the long run you will never regret it!

Nothing wrong with learning martial arts, good exercise , and you will be able to protect your self.
Why are you joining the Marines do really want to go to Iraq? Consider the Air Force learn to fly jets, or the Navy.

There's nothing wrong with that. My cousin Mary is in the Navy. She's one of the toughest people I know. If you want to learn martial arts or go into the military, go for it. No one will stop you but YOU!

Well the first thing you could do is learn to spell. The second is get that chip off your shoulder. And the third is to get out of the fantasy world you live in.
