No doubt that I would. And in reference to some of the other answers, I think what needs to be done should be done. It's not like we've never tortured someone for answers before. Do people really belive this is the first time it's ever happend? War isn't pretty, it's about killing and dying, period.

You've been reported. As a former member of our Armed Forces I take great offense to your off hand remark. It crosses the line! It seems like most of you are missing the point on this one. I can call someone on here a bleeding heart liberal if I want to but to accuse our troops of something that you have no proof of...you shouldn't make statements like that unless you are prepared to back it up with some evidence or proof.

The person being tortured would tell me anyplace he could think of to get out of the awful torture..this process would be WORTHLESS to get any good information, especially if the victim of the torture was a religious zealot and thought he was doing the right thing to avenge his kid or wife, slaughtered by a bomb from a US mission...

I would do anything to find my child BUT I would also expect to take responsibility for my actions, let a court decide if I should be imprisoned or not. I would have the courage of my convictions.

I have a question for you - if your child was raped and murdered by drunken US troops, would you torture them until you felt some sense of satisfaction?

Not only would I approve it, I would personally carry it out. Once I got my child free, I'd kill the ****** for good measure too.

i would be doing the torturing myself if i had the guy that did it .... but i wouldnt round up everyone in his neibourhood and torture them just because i could and i had a special place that i wouldnt be prosecuted even if i had the wrong guy.
