I'd just like to say to the people who say "No, it's fake, everything in wrestling is fake" that yes, everything in wrestling is "fake" to a point. the people are being hit with chairs, sledgehammers, steps, etc however they are trained so they know how to hit them the right way without injuring the other. Not to mention the fact that many wrestlers have broken bones and been seriously injured while wrestling too, so obviously it is not "all fake" like you people would like to believe. So no, there is not camera tricks, they actually get hit in the head. The blood is sometimes "fake" but other times they actually are busted open with weapons, some cut their forehead with a blade, but most of the time they don't have time to do that anymore. The blood is actual blood, the reason most wrestlers bleed on their forehead is because it heals a lot faster since it's so close to the bone. I hoped that helped you son. Have a nice night.

Its sorta faked, but not always. Often when a wrestler gives a chairchot, the person recieving will put up there hands to absorb some of the blow, and the person delivering the shot will not put all they have into it. The shot still hurts, but it usually looks real enough, but not always, case in point, John Cena at Unforgiven gave Edge a pretty week looking chair shot, it was so bad that the announcers even mentioned it saying that it looked like he did not get all that he wanted on it. On the opposite end of the spectrum, sometimes wrestlers get carried away and hit a little too hard with a chair or too many times. The most famous example I can think of was during Mankind and Rock's feud, I forget the event, but I believe it was an I quit match, where Foley was handcuffed, and the Rock was hitting him with a chair. Foley's wife and kids were in the audience, the Rock was only supposed to hit Foley 5 times, but they both got carried away and The Rock wound up hitting him 10 times, cutting him open real bad, especially since he was not able to block the shots or absorb the blow excpt with his head since he was cuffed. AT one point his wife and kids began crying in the audience, and were genuinely terrified.. This was all shown in a documentary about wrestling, I highly recommend called Beyond The Mat.
As for getting thrown at the cage, its simillar to being hit by a chair, they put there hands up a lot of the time to lesson the impact of the blows, all that cheese grater stuff though, although slightly painful, does not do to much damage or any real injuries. When it comes to bleeding though wrestlers will often carry a razor blade on them or have one some where accesible in or near the ring. They will get hit, with a chair, the camera turns away, the wrestler uses the razor to cut themself open, and then the camera turns back to find a crimson mask. Sometimes though a wrestler will allow an opponent to bust them open with their knuckles, and sometimes they get busted open by accident, like Randy Orton whose lip was accidently busted open by Carlito at Unforgiven. Hope this helps. I'd also recommend reading Mick Foley's Have A Nice Day, where he writes about how certain things like chair shots are done in wrestling.

When a wrestler takes a chair shot to the head, they usually begin to bleed. The blood you see on the television is their REAL blood; however what you might not know is that the wrestler uses a blade or some type of sharp object to cut themselves around the site of the blow. If you watch a match closely, usually the wrestler is lying face down after the attack and most of the time the camera view will pan away from him for a few seconds, which allows the wrestler to cut himself, and then pans back to the bloody wrestler. If you pay close attention to a match which involves bloodshed, you will see what I am talking about.

No ! I know from experience I was a Wrestler for a while . Remember this Wrestling is entertainment they cant afford to permanently hurt the other guy that would take money out of their own pocket . Why do you think they always attack the left leg or arm , because most people are right handed and if they hurt them badly they cant work . The true answer is yes it is fake and no it is not .

It might be a camera trick if we are watching on tv but there are thousands of ppl in the arena watching so it can't be a camera trick. They only use steel chairs for hitting ppl because that steel chair is specially designed, the wrestlers who got hit with it don't get hurt that bad, don't be stupid enough to try it.Those hell in a cell matches are hard to cheograph, one hell in a cell match might take 4 months to prepare. They are professionally trained to take the pain so don't try it at home.

If it is a camera trick, how do you fool the people watching live in the arena? There are ways of getting blasted in the head with a chair and not getting hurt. They are trained professionals. There is no way you can fake getting FU'd by John Cena off a 15 foot ladder through 2 tables. If any one can fake this, please explain how. i dare you to try it and let us know how it feels. I'd love to see it.

no its not camera trick but they do it such a way that the person hitting controls the impact so that the person getting hit does not get hurt. its a lot of practice and a good stunt. the blood comes out when the ref passes a tiny blade for them to slash their head.
sorry to say wrestling is fake but the stunts they do are not. takes a lot of work. cena and edge's TLC match was awsome.

A lot of people say that it is all fake and most of it is but it is known that when there is blood or chairs or anything like that it is real, and even Hulk himself has said that on his show hogan knows best.
