I think it's a matter of opinion, you need to go see them for yourself to decide. One other thing, not just the picture counts, the sound can really bring what you are watching to life too. I would get an LCD personally, I love the sharp picture with vivid colors. I also don't think projectors are practical unless you have a large enough room that it suits it.

Agree with both of the other answers. I have a projection TV with an anti glare screen and it's got the fuzziest picture I've ever seen.
If you wear reading glasses and sit across the room, it clears up. But if I had it to do over again, I would have dumped the anti-glare screen (makes it the fuzziest) and the projection screen gets spiderwebs (Bakersfield is the spider capital of California) in the back of the screen so it looks like the screen is cracked.
The repair guy only charges $175.00 to come out and dissect the set to clean out the cobwebs once a year.
More trouble than it's worth.

I prefer DLP TVs for clarity and brightness and no danger of burn in.
