When I learned that our ancestors were tree shrews, I became suspicious of squirrels. The other day I saw a "herd" of them grazing on my lawn. They've come down from the trees, I tell you!!! Soon enough they'll be making stone tools and building fires. How long, do you think, before they usurp us? Should I build some sort of shelter or bunker? Should I stock up on duct tape?

But that's beside the point. As they encroach upon our territory and slowly conquer our people, they bring many hidden blessings. For instance, think of the spike in bird feeder insurance. With numerous economic threats like this piling up on top our already overburdened political infrastructure, our entire society is sure to collapse, bringing about an end to the U.S. dependence on foreign oil, and therefore, solving all human problems forever.
Build your bunker, but remember:
They'll always be watching you with their beady little eyes, waiting for the opportune moment to freak you out.

Squirrels are already taking over! They control humans forcing them to leave birdseed outside so they can eat it and become strong. Just give them all the trees and nuts they want,and you'll be safe in the New Squirrel Order.

Not very. I'm with you on that. I don't think a shelter or bunker will help. We all just have to realize that sooner rather than later we'll become their nut slaves even to a greater extent than we are now.

I'm more afraid of mosquitoes/other insects taking over than squirrels!

They'll be killed off soon enough, along with all other large animals. Our 'leaders' are making sure of that.

My guesstimate would be that the squirrels will take over anytime now. I had one almost attack my face once...lol
