With the recent trade, sending (previous) backup QB Volek to an Diego --
-- offensive coordinator Norm Chow is obviously poised to insert Young into the starting role.
Much has to do with the success of Kerry Collins. But let's face it, Collins has not had stellar years since his departure from the NY Giants.
Your guess is a good one. Despite Collins' erratic numbers, it would be too early to toss Young into the starting role. However, the man is a natural leader, and he's getting his baptism under fire.
Might be sooner.

He might actually be starting before then. If Kerry Collins continues to play poorly, Vince Young might get the nod within a few weeks or so. He's got the tools to succeed so don't be surprised if he starts sooner than later. It might be a tough adjustment to start and get settled in, but he'll eventually get better.

he should just start next week...he is better than Volek or Collins.Seriously cut all this rookie crap...just put him in there and let him learn the game by playing instead of watch it from the bench and just let him do his thing.Look how Ben Roethlisberger turned out...not bad huh?
