I live in the ghetto....in fact I am the only white person out here so yea to that.....and no the ghetto isnt reserved for blacks, but that is what seems to come to the ghetto so......

Everybody took their turns living in ghettos. Before the Southern blacks came up north, there were still ghettos. All races had ghettos.
Irish, Italian, Jews and on and on.
There are many Latin ghettos or barrios too.
I am originally from Chicago, most of the ghettos are black, but not all of them. Pilsen, Little Village, Humboldt Park, those are all Latino ghettos. Uptown is more of a white ghetto.
Ghetto, is an Italian word. Thats where the poor Jews were headquarted in Rome years ago.

There can be, and are, white ghettos, jewish ghettos, italian ghettos, hispanic ghettos, or just about any other type of ghetto. We hear most often about black ghettos only because that seems to be the only thing the press is interested in. It appears the people in those other ghettos can simply go to ... as far as the press is concerned.

well i was always brought up to believe that blacks live in the ghettos and white people who were poor lived on the other side of the tracks. was always told that the ghettos was much worse then the other side of the tracks.

Yes white people live in ghettos. People just emphasize on blacks.

Yes, some white people live in ghettos. In the US non-whites seem to be in majority in the ghettos, the poor whites tend to live more in trailor parks, but some of them live in ghettos.
I wonder if many black people live in trailor parks...

Whites do live in ghettos many of my friends live there. They have to worry about drugs crime and all manner of gangs I consider that the ghetto. Blessed be.
