If there is a god then why .. do children suffer (child abuse, disease, poverty)? why do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? why do people get cancer, aids, ms, leukemia, parkinsons etc.?

you have technically asked 4 questions.is it safe to assume your question is:if there is a god,then why are there terrible events/situations? if it is, then in the case that you believe there is a god, would mean you believe in a particular religion.every religion has a story to answer this question.for example-Christianity,i think it was in the garden of Eden the snake (evil) tempted Adam and eve into eating an apple--therefore evil exists.in the event that you don't believe in a god, you would just simply know that it is human nature.there are bad things that happen.the only thing you can do about it is become pro active.join an organization to which you would like to help, or make the balance tilt alittle more toward "good" and do some volunteer work,be kind to all creatures, and demonstrate love in your actions.

Sad, huh? Does not make sense, but our Heavenly Father gives us a choice -- either we believe ( that Jesus died for our sins and He really wants us to believe and call out to him to save our souls) or we do not believe. However, He will not force us. In the last days we will experience all of these things and to a much greater degree. Those who do believe of their own free will and accept Jesus as their Savior will also find that in the midst of all the chaos, they can have some peace and the strength to deal with everything simply by asking Him for it.

God never signed up to give you all the clues about the universe. He gave you life which is the most precious gift of all. Learn to be content with that and the rest of the concerns seem to melt away.

Man sinned. Even with Jesus, we still owe more than we will ever be able to give.

because man is flawed lacking purpose and only longing to feel loved God supplys the love and expects us to act right but since we are flawed we do not
