You could memorize a lot of steps, but I personally forget very easily, so I like to have a program I can fall back on. Inverse Matrice Solver (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/161/16114.html) and Matrix Solver (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/124/12402.html) are really good programs to use, I've found. They solve it for you, so you don't have to fumble with keys and confusing abbreviated functions...

In case you've never downloaded before, here's what you do:
1. First, use a transfer software. The standard one is TI Connect. If you don't have the installation CD that came with your calculator, go to the official TI EDUCATION download site at http://education.ti.com/educationportal/appsdelivery/download/download_interim.jsp?applicationId=183&contentPaneId=7 . Choose a language, download, then install.
2. Get a USB cable for the actual download. One came with the calculator, but if you don't have it, they are easy to get and very versatile.

Hope I've helped! =)

Do you know how to use the calculator to find the reduced echelon form?

If A is your matrix enter the following augmented matrix.
[ A I ]

when you row reduce this you will get:
[ I A^-1 ]

The right side will be the inverse.

If you merely wanted to be boring and orthodox about it, of course, you could simply type the matrix name, press the x¯¹ key on the left side of your calculator, and then hit enter. But since we are constantly being exhorted to exercise independence of mind and apply scientific methods, undoubtedly the best way would be to knock on your teacher's door and say to her "If you would like a nice new calculator, I will give you this one if you tell me the inverse of this matrix."
