just seems liberals live in a fantasy world, you know, ignore it and it will go away...we can all live in peace.

They are manipulated by Leftists whose goal is to weaken America and thus give advantage to Leftist-run nations in the world. Liberals are, according to Lenin, the 'useful idiots' of the Left.
Leftists use Liberals to do their dirty work, from stomping around on the streets waving slogan signs (as Communist ANSWER has done with them lately) to committing acts of social disruption. Liberals are led into this mainly through agit-prop, that is, propaganda designed to agitate through a sense of 'injustice'.
Leftists use Liberals as their battering ram to tear down a nation's political and social structure so the Leftists can then step into power. Leftists create the disruptions, then insist they must be elected to solve the disruptions.
Once Leftists get into power, they are in the habit of murdering 'liberal intellectuals' because those persons betrayed their own nation to get the Leftists into power - and Leftists won't take the chance that they will do it again.
When Commies took over China, they murdered over 5 million Liberal Intellectuals. The Soviets did the same. As did the Socialist Workers Party of Germany (NAZIs) and Fidel Castro.
I would agree that many Liberals 'want' to defend America. They're just not smart enough to realize Leftists are using them to harm America. We saw that during the Vietnam era, when Leftists defeated America and gave the Communists freedom to go on a murderous rampage throughout Vietnam and Cambodia. Leftists used Liberal anti-war protestors as their willing dupes. Lenin was correct.

Show me one liberal that has not defended America? What is your answer for eliminating Islamic terrorism? I haven't seen any Repubs that have any answers for terrorism other than using hatred and lies to further their position. Do some research other than watching Fox News.

Because they don't have a plan of action for anything. Only hate Bush tactics and the opposite of whatever this administration suggests. They believe they are born into power and still to this day they cannot get over the fact they have and are lost. The democratic party used to a great party, but today they are over run by far left extremists who are so far out of bounds, as to say, of where we the American people are and what we want and believe in, ("main-stream America").

Many are willing. They just want to do it honestly and not as a smokescreen for raising the price of Texas oil.
I'm so far right, I'm left now. I spent my time dodging props and flames on the flight deck. There are many liberals who are just *******, but there are many who were brave enough to stand up and tell the public that the soldiers weren't getting armor, and that the money was being spent on Halliburton to NOT pump oil out of Iraq.
I think the real cowards are the Republicans who won't call for a draft to support the stressed out guys in theatre. They need replacements or they need retrieval. Iraq and Iran need new borders that reflect culture, not oil fields.

Liberals want to defend America. Conservatives want to kill everyone that they can find an excuse to...even if the excuse is a fabrication. Conservatives create more terrorists with their ignorance, violence, and worldwide terrorism than they manage to kill.

I'm in the military and I know plenty of liberals who are serving their country, fighting terror, etc. in uniform.
So your question is dumb. Liberals are willing to defend America.

They really would like to, but they just don't have any idea how to do it. They think that their failed policies are failing for a reason other than what we already know...they just don't work.

Because like the terrorist they are cowards. They only know how to whine. I just hope and pray we never have to fight because of their ignorance. We will need to put them in internments camps just to keep us safe.
