The Illegal Immigration issue is very big on both sides.
Gas prices have gone down, so that's fading away.
The War in Iraq is a hotpoint for Democrats.
The War against Islamic Genocide is a Republican dominated issue, and will get bigger and bigger. The Democrats take a stance like they can fight the war better, but the Republicans take a stronger stance specifically against the Islamic Terrorists, where the Democrats emphasize nuclear proliferation.
Education might become another big issue.
The Economy is tied with the gas prices. The Economy is doing suprisingly well lately, and the Fed has backed off raising the interest rate. So that is in favor of the Republicans.
There is a strong anti-incumbancy emphasis by the Democrats.
Abortion is made into a huge issue by both sides, but that's more a presidential issue. I think it's likely that the Republicans will lose some seats in the Senate, but maybe not Congress. So you might end up with a Democrat controlled Senate, and a Republican controlled House.
