On edit -- I do have to say that in rare cases it could be a characteristic of connective tissue issues -- and I stress rare. My son is hypermobile (another word for double jointed) and his shoulder and wrist are the most affected right now, but he's just 6. We will be having him evaluated soon for connective tissue issues (he has more characteristics than just the hypermobility) Check out this wiki

it don't mean ur 1 of Satan's children(that guys got problems He's an idiot)yea,my mom & sister have double-jointed wrist they can turn their hand up or down(palm up or down)and their arm (period) DON'T move.I'm kinda jelous!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THAT IS KINDA DIFFERENT BUT TOTALLY AWESOME
