does anyone know what the little lines in between the whole numbers on test tubes are called? thanks. (this is for chemistry)

those little lines are sometimes called "markings" but technically they are known as "subdivisions". these test tubes that have these volume markings are known as "graduated test tubes" (that makes it sound like they just finished with test tube school :_)))))!!
I give a link to an example.
(p.s. I work in a lab)

if it is between two whole numbers then it signifies the value between them...
