80 sheep @ $.50 each = $40
For a total of 100 animals for $100.

You don't have enough information. You have three variables (the number of each animal bought) but only two equations:
c + p + s = 100
10c + 3p + 0.5s = 100
You need more information to get another equation. Otherwise there are numerous solutions

100=10x+3y+0.5z;
x+y+z=100;
=>50=9.5x+2.5y
=>x=5; y=1; z=94;
so cows =5; pigs=1; and sheep=94
