this is for a 6th grade science problem any help will be greatly appreciated

I think it's the anteater but I'm not sure.

There are four challenges here:
(1) opens it's mouth
(2) swallows prey faster
(3) predatory
(4) vertebrate

Still not sure but that's my best answer. Hell I've been out of college since 1974. I'll stick with anteater!

Angler fishes and scorpion fishes swallow their prey with amazing speed.
They lie in wait for a potential prey and when the prey comes close enough, they open their wide mouths in such a small interval that there is a huge pressure diffrence created and the surrounding water rushes into their mouths while sucking the prey with it.
