You just add 20...so look for a 38 or 40...but definitely try them on before leaving the store to avoid wasting time because the cut of a man's pair of jeans is not going to be as full in the hips or ***..so if you are curvy dont expect a perfect fit

You'd probably a 42-45 inch waist (depending on your hips and butt) and the inseam will vary- the average inseam on a standard pair of jeans is 32 inches, but men's jeans are sized by waist and then inseam-(so like 42x32). However, men's jeans aren't made to fit over a women's' curves- so they my not fit right- but if you can find a good pair- GREAT!

I am the same size as you, but i am very curvy, full hips and thighs, narrower waist. My husband wears a size 42 jeans, if our house burned down, and only his clothes were left, I could wear his jeans. But, they look hideous on me, the waist is way too big, they are tight in the thighs.

If you are built curvy like me I suggest you try "just my size" jeans, they one of the few that fit me. Sadly, I can't find a local source for them (walmart used to carry them). so I have to buy them on-line. And I like to try on my jeans as I do not trust the quality control of the jeans companies.

Yesterday, I went to kohl's and bought a pair of Lee "at the waist relaxed fit stretch" jeans. They had them in all these great khaki colors too. Out of all the pairs in the store, I'd say about 18, that were a size 20w only 7 were long enough for me to even try on. (They varied by as much as 3 inches.) Of those 7, only one pair fit right in the rise and in the waist. It's sad that out of 18 pairs of pants that were supposedly the SAME size only one pair fit right.

Men's jeans are sized by waist and length, and no matter what size I am they don't fit right.

It wouldn't be anything in men's sizes. You would just have to measure your waist & length to wear men's jeans.

just measure around the area you wear your jeans at and that will be the size..

Tough - 'cause a lot goes into sizing - start with a 36" waist. Might need more. Then you have to consider length. Also check out the "Husky" department.
