1.When my cousin who wasn't in her 40's dead from cancer she never really went to the Dr's for checkups and when she did it was too late she was told that if she did her yearly checkups should may have caught it early.


I started the next day going for yearly checkups and haven;t stopped( THANK GOD when I do go in for my checkups I'm told I'm in good health


2. When a friends had her 3rd baby ( she did it in hopes the baby's daddy would marry her)he didn't ins tend he got marry to another girl the day a week after she had the baby.

It taught me that one shouldn't have a baby to keep a man and that all promises are not written in blood

3.A neighbor ( a long time ago) killed herself( from the outside her life looked great) because she had a very nice home , car, job, a loving hubby, but we later found out that she was depressed over losing 2 baby's yrs before 1 baby died from a under developed heart the baby was a few weeks old, the other baby dead from crib death. She took a over dose the next morning he wokup she was lying next to him dead with he found the note in the bathroom it explain why she did it

It taught me that just because things look good from the outside with people u never know whats really going on on the inside.

4. When I was a little girl my grandfather had a friend( who I was afraid of because to me he looked like a monster) whenever I'd see him I'd run and hide and it didn't help with my uncles laughing and saying how ugly he was,anyway I remember the look on his face when I would run or cry when I see him( he looked hurt that he was thought of as so ugly that he would scare little kids) I didn't think about that until yrs later after I became an adult that it hurt his feelings.

It taught me that the poor man didn't want to scare me and that he couldn't help how he looked and I wish my mom would have told me this when it was happening. I said in my prays that I was sorry I made him feel so bad. I just wish I could have told him this b 4 he dead.

5.I grade school a girl and her sister used to come to school dirty and ask for other people lunch me and other kids used to talk about them.

I found out later they had a lot of brothers and sister at home my mom told me that was the reason they were that way was because they didn't have much and that maybe they wanted to take the food home to the rest of the family or because school was the only place they might can get food. It taught me that I should laugh and talk about other people because u never know whats going on in they're life or home.

I now have more compassion for others and I try not to make too quick a judgement I try to keep a open mind that things could be hard for others whenever I met someone who's rude or in a bad mood.
