you can actually love someone so much...people tend to but their partner first instead of the self...sometimes you feel your nothing without them and you do everything to fit around them...no they shouldn't do everything they want and it to be okay..because you should have enough respect for yourself to not let them do it...there's a difference between love and just ignorance...I'm not saying your ignorant or anything...maybe your partner is and is using you because they know that as long as you keep letting them do what they want they're going to keep doing it...put your foot down and say its enough....!!!

Yes, it's called a co-dependent relationship, and it's unhealthy. One person is usually obecessed and the other is emotionally unavailable. Sometimes those roles flip back and forth over time in a long term co-dependent relationship, but not always.
Usually one person is always the "victim." That person sets themselves up to play this role and actually doesn't know how to cope without being in that role.
In extreme cases this can lead to repetitive physical abuse and/or emotional abuse.
Either way it's still unhealthy!

Love not too wisely but too well? You have made me recall a lucid moment in treatment for severe depression. My long time partner and I worked at he same office and slowly built up long service leave. We were told to take it or lose it. I suggested to Gwen that we go away for a long deserved break. She said that she was feeling tired but that I should go.
Her family were horrid bigots. When I returned I found that she had passed away form a cancer. The family had claimed her remains and buried her in their church's private plot under "UNKNOWN TO GOD" I nearly killed one of the relatives but was able to walk away. Month later I was in care. I adored Gwen, I blamed myself for everything. As I said above I wondered if was too in love but pushed that down.
I have recovered a lot and can once again laugh. I have even experienced that quiet serenity I so admired in her. Lord, I don't know. I must have secretly have been a nasty person sometime and have been repaid.
Sorry I have wandered. Rose P.

Yes, and I've been there. When the love resembles addiction, there's a huge problem. But if it's legitimate, then there's no bounds really, unless you're overwhelming the other person.

Love is not controling, and it is not suppressive, manipulative or possessive. True love is liberation, freedom and allowing someone to be just as they are. In this sense, no, you cannot love someone too much.

Yes, if you are not able to live a normal life because of it--- that is called obsession. If that is the problem, you need to go talk to a counselor.
