You are assuming America can't do both?
Of course we can.
And as far as International Politics, getting attacked has nothing to do with it. Its our DUTY to help weaker nations and people all over the world however we can.
That being said we are doing a crappy job at both right now. Perhaps better leadership would help?

And just what internal affairs need looked into? The illegal alien issue is being worked in congress. What else needs the national Government to give their full attention? Most of the whiny issues are state and local issues, so call your governor or mayor.
