Pheromones play a role in that. There are other factors as well. These relationships are entirely theoretical regarding the details. The fact is that it does occur. We are only guessing as to why. I personally agree with the pheromone idea. No real proof though. There are also ideas that behavior and diet influences the body's cycles. There are studies suggesting that men have cycles which are influenced by other men as well as by women. Who knows for sure? That might help with timing for pregnancy. It might just be a wild idea.

Not all women do. My sister and I shared the same room for a year. Shared the same house many years before. As soon as I would finish mine she would start. Only very few times did we start and/or stop at the same time.

In a primitive group, like we all stem from, if all the women become "out of bounds" at the same time, there is less temptation for male infidelity.

i know the answer and it's not just females living together, working close together also. because when 1 starts to pms the others want 2 get bitchy 2 because they r looking 4 an excuse
to be all bitchy & can blame it on " that time"

maybe because you 2 are starting at the same time of the month,cycles do change.

Isn't that strange? When i used to have a period, this girl I worked with and I ended up having our periods start within one day of each other. Before, we were two weeks apart. Go figure!

i don't know but it is true also my period is always the same day as my sister and best friend who don't live with me.
