Ford: Counter-clockwise 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
if it is a 352, 360, 390, 427, or 428, then the cylinder numbers are reversed--i.e. the 1-4 are on the passenger side and 5-8 are the driver side

ok this is simple...the firing order on a ford v8 is really the same as a chevy v8. if you want to do it the ford way,,,,just look at which head is more forward...normally the passenger side is then it goes # 1 is on that side then read the firing order on the intake manifold. Yes ford does go from front to rear. but to make it easier...the firing order on a chevy is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 starting from the front drivers side and it alternates from side to side. So if you use #1 as the front drivers side then # 2 is front passenger side and 3 is on drivers side and so on...this usually works on all cars with older v8's

Looks like you got all the right answers. And to all of those that think "Kenneth S" is a little off his rocker so to speak, just do a little research. You Ford and Chevy guys have more in common than you think.
