I really wonder sometimes. I just answered a question that amounted to someone whining because their disabled friend of two years whined too much.

I'm also disabled and I occassionally get the "you could do better if you really tried" routine. Well, I do try. Every stinking day I try.

I try to stay up on what's going on in the world and I swear there seems to be a movement here in the USA to disenfranchise the disabled.

I'd just appreciatre some feedback. Should we disabled Americans just die to make room for the rest of you?

i disagree with you in that you are being singled out. most people that are rude to you are rude to everyone. this is a nation, no, a world full of selfish, inconsiderate, ignorant, rude, uncaring, 'whats in it for me' people. dont feel like you are the only one getting f**ked with. no, i am not disabled. i do have a good friend that is. i have not heard him complain any more than anyone else i know.

in these days of high technology and instant gratification, most people simply don't have time to deal with someone disabled. they don't know how it feels to be disabled and therefore are almost incapable of understanding what you go through or that you ARE trying, because it's easier for them. i don't know if that really answers your question....
