To have a fulfilled human experience here on earth, and then take what we know and cross over. Possessions mean nothing, statue means nothing, money means nothing...it's all the memories and experiences...so live each day to the fullest and never waste a day...because you just spent one day of your life doing what ever you did. Was it worth it?
Hope this helps

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

The first purpose of life is to procreate and keep it going. This includes both sexual gratification with your partner and nurturing your offspring.
The second purpose of life is to have a sense of wonder, to ask the holy questions: "How can it be that I exist and am experiencing all of this?" and "What is this that I'm experiencing?"
The third purpose of life (but not the least) is to have compassion for others.

The purpose of life is creativity and the awareness of owning that creativity. You are literally creating your own reality at this very moment. IT can be anything you want it to. The purpose of life is to enable you to do this and to know that.

The purpose of life...sorry honestly speaking I cannot think of any ..hmmmm.. i wonder why ? ....
Its not that I am not interested or something. its just that such a profound questions needs a lifetime for an intelligent person to be able to understand and explain such question. One coud'nt possibly answer this question in one setting, in one line either.. I believe a thousand books and prints and those prints are written not by one hand but by the countless ones... hmmm....
Cant think of more to say ... since I am only one.

I don't think we have any purpose. Why do you feel as though we should? However, we are here, we may as well make the most of it, work toward making ourselves happy. Hopefully, that which makes you happy will not harm others.
