have you ever seen the plus size models on tv? they are like a size 12. Today a size 12 is not big. Especially if you are in your thirties. If you watch HSN or QVC the models who are modeling the plus size clothing are not more then a size 12. So we do not get the real affect on how these clothes will look on an obese women. And if you ever watch those shows, they do have plus size women selling the stuff, but if you notice they are in the middle of the night. So plus size women have not come all that far. it seems like people still want the tall slender look for models. you could start designing clothes for shorter people, and higher shorter people to model them..i should not say shorter people. we are all on one earth.

thing someone needs to start a "real" models agency.
QVC has a range of big women, short women and the normal tall models around 5" 9 size 12, its great to see how the clothes fit each size..... guess who this designers expect to buy their clothes...... if we saw clothes looking good on size 14 to 20, we would love to buy them.... rather than be disappointed when we try on fashion stuff and look nothing like the airbrushed models in magazines. Check out looking good naked on channel 4 when this starts again... one of the first to really help real people with fashion!

It's all about the $$$$. Plus the "plus" models are really normal size women and the model agencies took a lot of flak for saying they were "big."
I would imagine they are just avoiding what some people would call "exploitation" or "ridicule" issues if they used short people.

Im 4'9" also, and I was told most agencies won't even look at you if you are under 5"8. But there are petite models, see if you can get into modeling that way.

Yes, you should be able to model have you checked
with any model agencies. You can do some research
and this way you'll know for sure.

NO! However, the modeling industry doesn't see real women, just airbrushed images of them.

I'm 4'9" and 18 years old. Random people tell me I should model, but I know that's impossible. :/
