yes i do !!How to Make Homemade Roasted Pumpkin Seeds! These days, roasted pumpkins seeds are all the rage. Tasty, full of anti-oxidants, high in fiber and protein, gourmet shops and health food stores stock them. Here's an EASY recipe to make them yourself! Directions for Making Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients and Equipment

* pumpkin (see step 1)
* a sharp, serrated large knife
* Cookie sheet
* vegetable oil
* salt pepper, general herbs
Recipe and Directions
Step 1 - Clean the seeds When you are carving your pumpkin, separate the seeds from the pumpkin flesh and strings. Wash them well (usually putting then in a big bowl of water and rubbing them between your hands is a fast way to clean them) and spread them on paper towels to dry.

It is also time to start preheating the oven. Turn it on and set it to 375 F (190 C, for those in Europe) Step 2 - Spread the seeds on a cookie sheet and season them Spread the seeds evenly over a cookie sheet and lightly baste the seeds with melted butter, margarine, or vegetable oil. My family likes a bit of 'Mrs. Dash" or lemon pepper on them. Most people seem to like a bit of cayenne pepper, some thyme and salt and pepper - about 1 teaspoon of each.
Or for a Halloweeny flavor, try a light sprinkling of cinnamon and allspice. Step 3 - Roast the seeds Heat them in a 375-degree oven for 20-30 minutes. raise the oven temperature to 400. Brown the seeds for five to 10 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with salt and serve hot or cold.

For milder flavor, simmer the cleaned seeds for about an hour in salted water and fry in deep oil. Or mix a tablespoon of oil or margarine to each cup of nuts and roast them at 250 degrees for 30-40 minutes until they're golden. Sprinkle them with salt.

Yes! That s why I started searching any info on this! I was wondering if it was the pumpkin seeds. I bought them already shelled and just toasted them in a pan with a little oil and a little salt. After a few days, I started developing this super painful sore under my tongue and on the side of my tongue. I used very little salt. One friend suggested that the sharp seeds may have caused small cuts which then became infected.

Oh yeah, pumkin seeds are great. We used to do that all the time when I was a kid. I loved walking in from a crisp fall day and having the aroma of roasted pumkin seeds filling the house. What a memory!

I do, but without the butter, not because I don't like butter, I have never heard of doing it that way. I just put mine in a dry frying pan and cook them till they pop. Then I salt them. now I want some,and I don't have a pumpkin.

Every year I carve a pumpkin at work and let the children help me clean it out. I have roasted them before but I didn't taste them. There's no way the kids will taste them. If they don't recognize it you can forget it.

I did this with my girls last year. They weren't too sure about eating the inside of a pumpkin. I also cook the pumpkin to make pies and cookies with. I have killer recipes for pumpkin cookies.

Been there. "Pumpkin seeds" is my middle name. I have to say though, I've eaten them many more times than I've roasted them.

Yes, but they don't taste as good as the ones in a box with an Indian in a headdress on it. The kind I used to buy 40 years ago.
