I know someone who is 5'7 and weighs about 103lbs. and she is very insecure and wishes every day that she was thicker. Do you think being 5'7 and 103lbs is too skinny for that height? She is a sophompre in high school. How can I stop feeling insecure?? Besides eat more, cause I eat as much as I can!!

No....definetely not.... i mean i am 5'8 and i used to weigh 115.... i also felt very thin...but the thing is that we look so thin because we are tall but if we were shorter we would look thicker... but anyways...last year when i went off to college...i gained 10 pounds !!! basically by adding more calories to your diet.... i reccommend making smoothies filled with alot of calories which by the way can also be healthy! try adding lots of strawberries, bananas, milk....and more as you desire! Good Luck and dont worry...i know its hard because i am also going through the same....remember that sooooo many girls wish to be skinny like you ....do you know how many girls starve themselves to be skinny?? be happy with who you are...but most importantly be healthy!!!!!!!!

You just have a high metabolism. Don't worry so much.
If you eat healthy, get regular exercise(min. of 3 days a week) and enough sleep(7-8 hours a night). You're fine.
Things should even out when you get into your 20's. And even then you may still be a tiny thing. Nothing is wrong with that as long as your body is getting everything it needs.
Hope this helps :o)

If you really want to know, apply this simple math formula:
P/T^2
P=Weight in kilograms.
T=Your height. (In meters)
If the answer is less tha 20, then you are too skinny for your height. If the answer is between 20 and 25, you're fine, if its between 25 and 30, the you're overweight, and if the answer is larger than 30...
Anyway, your data will be the following:
Height:1.73736 Meters
Weight:46.720014 Kilograms
Use a calculator.

Well if she is not trying to lose weight, then she's pretty slim. I knew a girl that was like that in high school and she developed into a beautiful, slim adult and never had to watch her weight. Unlike the rest of us. Tell her to enjoy her slimness and wear clothes to enhance her figure. At 5'7" and 103, she could be a model.

No she is not skinny unless she eats healthy and is involved in sports that means she is athletic. If she feels insecure tell her to eat a little more but dont eat junk food because then she will become fat and wish she is skinny. So i highly reccommend that she eats a little more and continue to do sports if she is involved in them.

Yes, it's very skinny, but if you are under 15/16, it may be ok as you are still growing. It sounds like you may have a very high metabolism and a small frame. If you are concerned, you should have a check up with your doctor. Take care : )

im 6'0 male and I weigh 114
everyone has differing weights,it depends on metabolism,genes and eating habits.personally I find myself atracted to the thinner people with body types similiar to my own.
a lot of people would give just about anything to be thin.
or so says some survey i was reading.
i geuss everyone is insecure about something though,

Yea. It's kind of skinny. That's an easy problem to fix though. Just eat like any other American. McDonalds, frozen custard, soda galore....
The older she gets the more lbs she'll put on. Metabolism slows down when you get older.
