No, I think the worst torture is indifference from someone you love. In a room you would still be a person. But when someone
you love doesn't think twice about you and treats you like you aren't
even there, then you become a non-person. That's worse.

NO because so many criminals are there in lock up 24/7 and their victims have suffered more. Many criminals cannot really stand being out long before they do something just To be caught.
A worst torture would be the kind our troops suffered when captured in Iraq and africa. or the kind a child suffers at the hand sof an aductor.
The torture of a mother and father finding their child dead or harmed is far worse.
Bel;eive it or no0t people actually do ge to used to isolation.

Certainly not the worst torture, just a few others come to mind, pins under the fingernails, 120 volts through the body, 50 strokes of a cane, etc, etc.
I personally kind of like isolation.

That wouldn't be fun, but as forms of torture go, that's pretty mild. I visited a museum of medieval torture in Germany. People who are truly being tortured would pray for isolation.

yup. locked in a room all by your self with only your mind to keep you company. no food, no bathroom, no colors, no music, no life.
you'll go mad and you'll have all sorts of friends in your head but they'll desert you too coz you cant keep imagining they're there forever. bit by bit your life fades away and when the room is opened two weeks later, you'll be nothing but a smelly rotting corpse.

It can be for some people. Every one is different. That is why they are INDIVIDUALS.
What I like or prefer may not be what some one else would like or prefer. Some people like to be alone. Others are very social and need contact.

I believe it could be for some people. It would be for me, since I enjoy being around people and talking.
