Don't fret!

1 L= 1000 cm3

So, if you have 4.2 L, then you multiply both sides of that equation above by 4.2 to obtain:

4.2 * 1L = 4.2 * 1000 cm3

Carrying through with the multiplication:

4.2 L = 4200 cm3

There are 4200 mL in 4.2 L. One mL is equal to one cm^3, so there are 4200 cm^3.

there are 1000 cc's in 1 liter (same as ml.) Multiply your quantity in liters (4.2) by 1000 and you'll get 4200 cc's.
