Before you go to much further down the more hp highway, you need to decide how your using the engine. Too many people spend major $$ building a engine that would be perfect for someone else car but not their own. What RPM range do you plan to operate in? How are you going to use the car/truck? Will it be a daily driver? How much do you plan on spending? And can you afford to fix it when it breaks or will it sit for 6 months? Depending on your situation, it may be best to work your way up slow and maintain a good fun to $$ ratio. For others it might be better to do it all at once instead of wasting time with half measures. I advise you to slow down and learn what everything does. Learn why each component increases hp or torque. And most importantly, don't add up your hp. You know, there are an awful lot of people who buy headers that are advertised to add25 hp, and an intake that is supposed to add 30, and a carb +40, and etc, etc. When they do the math they think they have a 800 hp monster, but it'll only do 12s at the track.

i own a repair shop, and it would have been nice to have known what year of engine it is because after 1972,all the engine horse power dropped in the Chevy's real bad,,it went from like 245 horse,,down to a 135 just in one year, and the year does help, from what i can tel with what all you have your probably pushing maybe 225 horses,,like i said it all depends entirely on the year of the engine ,to increase it a lot you would need to build it a little ,,better pistons,,and some good heads will help it a lot, there are a lot of things you can do,,maybe next time you can add the year of the engine, that would help a whole lot, good luck i hope this help,s

pull that antique out and replace it with a unleaded 6.0 L engine with 400 hp and 400 ft.lb. torque the LS-2 Corvette, GTO, SS trailblazer engine. Other than that add Pro-Inject four bbl holley fuel injection system and O2 sensor to exhaust. You will be amazied!

Every 350 out there is supposed to be out of a camaro or corvette or chevelle. Run the block and head casting numbers to tell what you really have, then go from there.

Depends what year the engine is on how much hp you have stock, taking an educated guess I would say between 325 to 350 hp.

either an msd ignition system, or accel HEI. Indexing your sparkplugs will give you a few more ponies. Underdrive pulleys ae good as well you can change your rocker arm ratio. i suggest roller rockers. port and polish your heads
