It was fine until I got an oil change last week. Since that day, it has a very hard time getting up hills. I have no problems otherwise. It also gets very loud while going up the hill. HELP!!!!

It's an automatic 1994 Pontiac Grand Am.

I would look at the catalytic converter, also make sure it does not have a dead miss in it........ check the oil since someone else changed it....... hopefully they installed the right filter.... if the wrong filter is installed it will not flow oil like it should.... but your oil pressure light would prob be on if that was the case.... also, if you have not changed your fuel filter and air filter in the last few months, go ahead and change those... thats not too expensive.... sounds like a cat or a miss though

I wonder if it's not shifting gears. If you have an RPM gauge, check to see if that gets really high while you're going up without shifting and going into a lower gear. Transmissions are expensive. Oil change shouldn't have affected it unless they drained your transmission fluid or something really weird.

Not sure, but I'd take it back to where ever you got the oil changed and ask them What The F*ck??

Sounds like you have a plugged catalytic converter.
I had the exact same problem
