I've always been a good student when I was younger and never had to study,I always passed every subject with no problem.Since I never had any problems learning when I was younger I never learned any study habits or anything. Can anyone help me with some studying habits?I tried reading the materials over and over but that didn't help.I need to know how to study so I can actually learn and remember things. Can anyone help?

i study by... turning on classical music or head phones if i am in the library which is what i sometimes need to do stay off the computer :)

while i study i read each section then i outline it. at the beginning of the section i put the page number (all in the same spiral) so that i can go back and get more information if i need it. then i summarize so i can learn it. it takes awhile so you cant cram but it always works. then before the test i go back and read the spirals if i dont remember the exact point then i go back to the page number and read up a little more. if there are ever any vocabulary or VERY important information then i put it ona notecard/flashcard and study those as well.

good luck.

oh yah btw my problem is getting motivated to study so therefore i dont. but when i was studying like this i had a 3.5 gpa haha.

Take really good notes on the important topics then the minor details. Excerpt from my notes
Plate Tectonics
>Convergent Plates →←
>Examples: Oceanic→←Continental=acid lava volcano
ect. Then review and review and don't cram, its really bad. Also study in a place with the least amount of noise possible, because a recent study suggests that if you learn to study with noise in the back round, you are most likely to forget that knowledge in future references. Review those notes.
