could be a lot of things, how many miles? could be fuel pump starting to get weak. bad oxygen or coolant sensor causing it to run too rich. could be carbon build up on valves or intake. could be sticking egr valve. or, if it is 4wd, could be sticking in 4wd at times without you knowing (especially if push button 4wd). could be transmission not going into overdrive. would need scanner diagnosis and test drive to check most of these things. i am a gm service advisor and ex tech, 18 years a gm dealer.

Have it checked for a rich O2 code. I would have the fuel pressure checked. Your engine has a habit of leaking fuel internally at the fuel nut in the injection system. Usually one of the fuel supply tubes or an injector in the intake manifold leak. You cannot see this. The best way to test it is to see if your oil is over full and smells like gas. Put a fuel pressure gage on the engine, turn the key on for ten seconds and watch for a pressure drop. If it drops more than 3 or 4 pounds, turn the key off, clamp off the return line, turn the key on and watch the pressure. If you still have a drop, you have a leaking injector or supply line. If it stays steady then the leak is in the return system or pressure regulator. Your mechanic should be able to do this for you in a few minutes.

You may have a clogged Catalytic converter. It's hard to spot because you can't see that it's clogged but will rob your gas mileage. Also your o2 sensors may be bad. The choke plate could be stuck too.It might not be opening all the way.

Yeah could be the winter blend gas coming back...it always gets worse mileage. Check your tires..sometimes they look good but are a tad low.

What about the fuel pressure regulatore?
If it is injucting to much fuel the milage will go way down.
