mobil delvac 15w40 would be a much better choice. it is formulated for the diesel.

Which ever oil you choose, be sure that the "API DONUT" specifies "CF", CG", "CH", or "CJ". If the specification is "SJ" or some other "S" designation, it is for gasoline engines.
Keep in mind, if it is for gasoline engines, the specification will always be "S" for SPARK fired.
If it is for a diesel engine it will always be a "C" for compression fired.
This applies to all motor oils, including the synthetics.
When you read the label, you may find some that are designated BOTH "S" and "C", where the oil is blended to satisfy both requirements.
