eyeliner brushes are for if you want to use shawdow or powdered eyeliner...if it's a pencil or liquid you don't need it... unless your liquid doesn't have an applicator, which i've never seen.

there is something out there (I use it), that is better than liquid eyeliner. It's a creme liner that you apply the same as liquid liner. I used liquid for years, now I use Merle Norman's little pot of creme eyeliner.... it's a little round pot, and you use their little brush to line your eye lids, you control the width of the eyeliner being applied by changing the direction of the brush. I start off at the top of the inside lid and start using the thin part of the brush, which produces a thin line, then over the center of the eye begin to get the liner on thicker using the wider part of the brush, eventually bringing it out to a little past the eye. MANY people comment on my eyes. The best part of it, it stays on without smearing, you can swim in it, take a shower or cry, it stays on, the downside is, you need a special makeup remover to take it off (Merle Norman sells the remover, but Nutregena also has some much cheaper).

You use eyeshadow as eyeliner w/a liner brush. It's much easier then liquid liner and stays on longer then pencil. You can wet the brush for a darker look. That's how I do it and I always get compliments. Also I noticed someone said not to line the top. Just line the bottom. Uh..... that looks really dumb. If you're gonna do bottom OR top, do top. You cannot do just bottom lol I use dark purple bc I have hazel eyes and ppl love it! You can use any kind of eyeshadow. Just wet it and dip it it the shadow and dot the brush verrrrry close to your lashline. Also I noticed someone said to take off your makeup w/baby oil or vaseline. DO NOT do that either. She must not wear makeup. First of all, your eyes will burn like holy hell. Second, you'll break out. Use eyemakeup remover.

The eyeliner brush is for using a particular eyeshadow as an eyeliner. Dip your eyeliner brush in some water and sweep whatever color eyeshadow you want to use as an eyeliner. Sit in front of a mirror with your elbow rested on the surface of a table to ensure a stable hand. Make sure you make the line thinner near the inner corner of your eye and thicker towards the outer corner. This creates a sexy cat eye. The reason why people do this is because it makes your eyeliner look slick, smooth, and natural. Hint: For easier application start with a thin line across entire eyelid, then add a thicker "wing" of eyeliner towards the outer corner of your eyes.

Start with an eyebrow pencil before you use liquid liner. Once you get started with the pencil and figure out the corect way to line your eyes with few mistakes, you will be able to start using the liquid eyeliner.

Liquid Eyeliner comes equipped with a thin line brush that works very well with practice. Remove with simple baby oil or Vaseline.

i HATE liquid eyeliner. nothing but a mess when you use it. LMAO i would prefer and eyeliner with a brush on the bottom. (its a two-sided eyeliner, spounge-like brush with eyeliner on other end) and swipe the eyeliner across your top eyelid closer to your lashes and make sure you only do it once then move to the spoungy brush and swipe back and forth to make the color more even and smooth. let me know how it works out.....good luck!

i think you can get this pot of black eyeliner from Clinique, i forgot the name of it but it works really well with an eyeliner brush...a good way to make your line really good is to pull at the corner of your eye and drag the eyeliner brush from the inner corner of your eye to about half way, and then let go of the corner of your eye and finish. if you feel uncomfortable with the pot of black eyeliner initially you should try practicing with a black eye pencil, or sharpen your pencil eyeliner and use the tip to make a thin line and then go over it with the black eyeliner.
hope this helped...take care =)
