Most babies can sit up by six months. What you need to do is get her out of that walker! Put her on the floor propped up with a rolled up blanket behind her. Sit her in your lap. I hate walkers and exersaucers. They do provide a safe out-of-the-way place for a baby to play and some have educational toys, but there is no greater place for the baby than the floor. She will use twice the muscle groups while trying to get where she wants when it's across the room intead of right in front of her face. She will learn to practice sitting up on her own. At this age she won't want to lay down all the time. The walker is doing the sitting for her. She doesn't need to use those muscles because the seat keeps her sitting up. Get her outta that walker and on a toy filled blanket on the floor and watch as she learns things by exploring!

At 7 months old, my son was rocking and starting to crawl. He also stood in a walker to strengthen his legs. He was pulling up at 9 months and walked 2 weeks after his first birthday. Every child is different. I like babycenter.com. Lots of interesting stuff there and other parents at the same stage as you.

a 7 month old will likely be able to sit very soon.
she is "standing" in the walker because she is supported by the seat and has strong legs.
I wouldn't utilize the walker too too much, because you also want to make sure she is on the floor as much as possible so she learns to crawl, wiggle, pull herself up etc.

well it all depends on the baby mine could do the standing walking crawling and seating by the time that they were 7-8 Mo's old but my friends baby is 11/2 and is just now walking so its all in how much time and effort that is put in to it try to put her between your lags with some toys and let her pull her self back and forth to build that muscle up but of course make sure she don't fall forwarded and get heart but she will get it just takes time and practice.

She can do whatever you want to start teaching her to do.They pick up everything you do at this age.We taught our son to hold his own bottle at 5 mths.He is 14 mths now & i teach him something new every day.Like how to roll the ball back 7 fourth & to put his snack trash in the trash can.Just little things for his self.It gives them a sense of independence. These young ages are the most vulnerable.GOOD LUCk!!!

It depends on the baby... My first child could roll and sit up...

My second child can sit up, but can't roll or crawl.

I have a friend who's daughter couldn't sit up at 7 mos, but was walking by 9.

Just work with her...

Better be careful she doesn't fall off! LOL
No, seriously she is doing fine. Each child varies, There is a book called "What to expect from your Baby" also, "What to expect from your toddler" , both are good books. I would advise you to read up as any good parent should.

my daughter is 7 months old.....here are some things she is doing..........

she sits on her own
crawls everywhere (she is fast cause she has been crawling for about 2 months now)
she pulls herself up while holding on to things
she can pull herself up to our couch and walk the length of it while holding on to it
she just learned to open my cabinet doors and she crawls inside them
she says "ma ma ma ma ma ma"

my daughter never like to be in a walker or bouncer or swing or anything like that, so i never used them on her.
